Architect
Jonathan Cases Montebon is a licensed Filipino architect and creative design professional known for his thoughtful and functional architectural solutions rooted in both artistic vision and practical execution. Based in Cebu City, Philippines, he is an active member of the United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) – Cebu Fort San Pedro Chapter (Lic. No. 0013800), reflecting his commitment to professional excellence and adherence to industry standards.
Montebon holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Cebu Institute of Technology-University, where he laid the foundation for his architectural career. He further pursued advanced studies in business by enrolling in a Master of Business Administration (MBA) program, reinforcing his ability to lead projects with both creative and strategic insight.
As the Principal Architect of MDAI Design Studio, Montebon leads a multidisciplinary design practice that spans architecture, interior design, industrial design, and design management. His design philosophy emphasizes creating spaces that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also responsive to the needs of users, culturally sensitive, and environmentally considerate.
Over the years, Montebon has contributed to a diverse portfolio of architectural works, including residential projects like the Neo Bahay na Bato Residence (2018) and Nacer Residence, commercial buildings such as a three-storey commercial structure (2014), civic designs like the Bais City J&P Asia Gas Station, and innovative mixed-use concepts including a seven-storey pension house (Dec. 2019) that blends modern design with functional utility.
In addition to his practice, Montebon shares his expertise as a faculty member at Cebu Institute of Technology-University, where he mentors emerging architects and fosters the next generation of design thinkers.
His career is marked by a dedication to thoughtful design, professional growth, and meaningful contributions to the built environment, establishing him as a respected architect in the Philippine design community.
Interior Designer
Cheryl Dalman Montebon is a licensed Filipino interior designer and creative professional known for her innovative approach to spatial design and furniture concepts. Based in Cebu City, Philippines, she has worked across interior design, industrial design, furniture design and fabrication, and project consulting.
Montebon’s passion for design has been recognized in national competitions. In the Metrobank Art and Design Excellence (MADE) Awards, she earned a Special Prize in the interior design category, distinguishing her for contemporary design sensibilities and effective use of materials and space. This national accolade highlights her ability to blend industrial and minimalist styles within functional interiors.
Her work includes diverse projects like thoughtfully themed spaces (such as an “Alice in Wonderland” nursery) and furniture collections that reflect both creativity and craftsmanship. Additionally, Montebon has professional experience in design consulting and interior fit-out, managing projects from concept through execution.
Montebon also engages in teaching and mentoring, having previously served as an instructor in the Department of Fine Arts—sharing her design expertise with emerging talents and contributing to the growth of design education in the Philippines.
Her career reflects a balance of artistic innovation and practical design execution, marking her as a respected voice in Philippine interior design.
